Jackie & Jonathan took over Town Mills in January 2022. At that time it was called ‘Orford Mill’, having been renamed from ‘Town Mills’ by the Countess of Orford when she bought it in the mid 20th Century. Wanting to re-establish the historical connections between the Mill and the surrounding community, Jackie and Jonathan decided to revert to the original name of Town Mills.
Jackie and Jonathan are a Husband-and-Wife team who relocated from Hampshire to follow their dream of living in Devon and running a lifestyle business. Before this, Jackie worked for years within the NHS in a busy hospital, whilst Jonathan had (and still has) other business interests. This means that Jackie is the person that can always be found somewhere at Town Mills ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
They are supported on a day-to-day basis by Jamie, Jon & Vikki who carry out the ongoing maintenance, housekeeping and groundskeeping requirements.
Jackie and Jonathan have three grown-up children and several grandchildren.
